Abbey Burns brings great energy, experience and a strong love for the game to her role as Newport’s Under 17 Assistant Coach. Having built an impressive playing career both in Australia and the US college system, Abbey is passionate about sharing what she has learned and helping the next generation of players grow in confidence and skill.
As a coach, Abbey brings enthusiasm, encouragement and a strong team-first approach. Her high-level playing experience, competitive mindset and understanding of the game make her a valuable part of Newport’s coaching group and a fantastic role model for younger players.
Abbey is passionate about helping players back themselves, keep improving and enjoy their lacrosse, while creating a positive environment where they feel supported to develop and challenge themselves. Her leadership, experience and connection to the club make her a wonderful addition to the Under 17 coaching team.
