Future Fund?
The Newport Lacrosse Club Future Fund has been established to support club members who have been selected to represent Australia at World Lacrosse-sanctioned events.
Being chosen to represent your country is one of the highest honours in sport, but it often comes with significant personal cost. Travel, accommodation, uniforms, tournament fees, insurance and other associated expenses can place a real financial burden on athletes and volunteer team staff. The Future Fund exists to help ease that pressure and ensure Newport representatives feel supported by their club community. This aligns with the club’s Representative Fundraising Policy, which provides a fair and transparent framework for how fundraising is conducted and how support is distributed.
Funds for this initiative
will be built through two key streams:
- donations via our Australian Sports Foundation fundraising page
- a major annual fundraising event dedicated to growing the fund

Our immediate priority is to build a strong and sustainable fund to support women representing Australia in World Lacrosse-sanctioned events. Over time, as the fund grows, Newport Lacrosse Club hopes to also provide some assistance to young people representing Victoria at Under 15 and Under 18 level.
This fund is about more than financial support. It is about recognising achievement, backing ambition, and creating a culture where Newport proudly supports its representatives on the national and international stage.
